About a year ago today, my good friend Jocelyn and I traveled from Erie, PA to Elko, NV on a business trip (campaign advance).I carried one of Jocelyn's bags throughout the 2,228 mile 24 hour trip. One of her heavy bags. Because she had 3 others, and I felt bad for her.
We drove from Erie to Cleveland, flew to Cincinnati, flew on to Salt Lake City, and drove to Elko.
"Oh!" She said. "Two picture frames from India. Three candle holders in the shape of a turkey. Candles to match. And a set of silver placemats. I bought them a few weeks ago and have carried them with me ever since."
When we got to Elko, I asked her what was in it.
Loves it, Joc. Loves it.
Right. Because everyone carries silver placemats with them. To Elko Nevada.
